There is uproar in the clientele around the digital game retailer GOG.com. bedroom pictures The reason is that in days gone out with that it will be introducing regional prices for newer games. Why react when clients are so strong on this, it's more or less standard on other digital retailers? As I see it, the biggest reason to GOG so far has marketed itself as an almost revolutionary group of gamers who are looking to change the gaming industry (for the better). One of the guiding principles has been to games should not cost more in some parts of the world and it deviated from then now.
After the first wave of protests and threats of leaving the site are behind Guillaume Rambourg, Managing Director at GOG, now published an open letter bedroom pictures to customers, where he tries to explain the situation and what led to the change. Not surprisingly, it depends on the demands of publishers, bedroom pictures especially the giants. During the more than five years GOG has existed has been fighting tooth and nail to try to convince them that DRM and fair prices is the way to go. That you are now forced to back off a bit on the requirements if the prices are not particularly surprising. There was probably no one who thought that GOG would be a steady triumph which went from success to success? To work in the gaming industry today involves business policy at a high level, it's all about give and take. You know, two steps forward - one step back.
Many seem to think that GOG dug his own grave. The situation needs to be qualified. It now lies GOG in the barrel is what I mentioned in the introduction. GOG has built its brand and its clientele on strong ideals and a kind of image of a grassroots movement that will revolutionize the gaming industry. In fact, GOG in many ways an entity as any other. The challenge is to survive and to constantly try to predict tomorrow. That one is forced to make concessions when it comes to pricing on newer games is unfortunately a necessary evil and I have trouble seeing how to avoid it without serious bedroom pictures consequences in the long run. What is not well understood from GOG's side is where the concern remains. If you now backed down on a previous important principle, bedroom pictures what prevents them from back in the DRM issue as well is the most basic to the whole business idea?
I think GOG is on the right path and have taken the lesser of several possible decisions for the future, but it has also painted themselves into a tricky bedroom pictures corner towards its customers. On the one hand, you have a company whose brand live much on the ideological picture you painted. Today it is heavily tarnished and the question is if you do not have to start communicating more clearly how, after all, a business fundamentally.
